In 2016, Proteon Pharmaceuticals signed the agreements for the co-financing five research projects from the European Union for Euro 3.2 million. The projects are for research and development of new generation, innovative products, based on our unique phage-platform technology. Conducting those projects will allow Proteon Pharmaceuticals to extend its product portfolio.

One of the projects, funded by Operational Program SMART GROWTH 2014-2020, co-finances the establishment of a modern Research and Development Center for bacteriophage preparations. Based on the new facility Proteon Pharmaceuticals will increase its research capacity as well as its production capacity.
